Affinity for Providers is the Clinic app for practice ordering and operations. The active practice and Test or Live mode appear in the application shell.
Find the right page
- Home shows current work and recent ordering activity.
- Search is the medication and supply library. Open a product to review its available presentations before adding it to the cart.
- Plans contains reusable medication plans.
- Orders tracks drafts, prescriber review, signed prescriptions, fulfillment, and delivery.
- Patients contains the patient records available to the current practice member.
- Team manages members, invitations, roles, and access.
- Pharmacies shows pharmacies available through the Affinity network.
- Billing contains invoices and payment configuration for members with billing access.
- Settings contains practice, notification, API key, and webhook configuration when the current role permits it.
If a page or action is missing, the current role probably does not include the required access. A practice owner can review roles on Team.
Prepare an order
- Use Search or Plans to add medications to the cart.
- Select one patient for the order.
- Confirm the prescribing provider for each prescription.
- Complete the required prescription details.
- Review delivery and pharmacy information.
- Send the complete order for prescriber review.
Only the attributed prescriber can complete the final review and signature. Support cannot choose a medication, dosage, directions, diagnosis, or clinical rationale for the prescriber.
Check billing before Live submission
For platform-managed orders, checkout identifies the platform payer. That platform manages the payment method and Affinity invoices. For direct practice orders, manage payments on the practice’s Billing page.
If checkout reports that platform billing is not ready, contact the named platform. See Billing and payments for account credit, invoice payments, and Test mode.
Understand order status
An order can contain multiple prescriptions. Each prescription can progress independently after the order is signed.
- Draft means the order is still being prepared.
- Prescriber review means an authorized prescriber must review the complete order.
- Signed means the prescription has been signed and is ready for the next operational step.
- Fulfillment means the pharmacy is processing or shipping the prescription.
- Issue means the order needs attention. Open the order to read the specific requirement.
Use the public order ID when asking Affinity Assistant to check status. The assistant verifies the signed-in member’s current practice access before returning information.
Test and Live mode
Test mode uses synthetic records and does not send an order to a real pharmacy. Live mode uses approved production access and can support real operations.
If Live mode is unavailable, the practice has not completed every production-access requirement. Practice owners can review setup and account settings. Affinity support can explain the current requirement but cannot override clinical, pharmacy, legal, or privacy approval.
Get help
Open Help from any Clinic page. Affinity Assistant can use the current page, practice mode, and role capabilities to explain the workflow. It can also check an authenticated order or shipment when you provide the public order ID.
Ask for a person at any time. The conversation and attached files remain available to the Affinity support agent who accepts the chat.
Do not paste patient names, prescription contents, or other protected health information into support chat. Attach only the information needed to show the product problem.
